If there was any chair that deserved two thumbs up, it’s this one. The Thumb is a lounge chair designed for Fratelli Boffi by Italian designer Lorenza Bozzoli, whose many talents include combining unusual shapes with refined finishes. That much is true of the Thumb.
The bulbous seat sits on a generously sized wooden support structure made of curved mahogany wood. Inlaid maple wood adds a decorative bezel on the back of the armchair, showcasing the quality of wood craftsmanship. The seat and back cushions are made of variable density polyurethane which gives the lounge chair its plush form and fills out its sinuous shape. The arm rest is an accessory that can be added or removed depending on composition needs. Available in leather or fabric, the Thumb can exist as an independent lounge chair or combined with multiples to create a shapely sofa.
